Thank you all for helping make a great turnout today at our APEGBC event showcase for the Science & Engineering Fair at Lansdowne Mall! Having shown our project alongside many engineering firms, this event has been a huge success for us.
Fabrication is now underway! This has all been made possible with the gracious help of: George Third and Son Brenco Industries Ltd. Reliabletube Inc. Universal Machining and Engineering Ltd.
This year’s bridge design has been finalized. We have ordered the HSS steel and are currently arranging for time to fabricate the structure.
We are very grateful towards Dassault Systèmes for their provision of 20 student licenses of Solidworks for our team. It allows us to much better step forward with our 3D design work as the date nears for the realization of our bridge. Thank you for your generous support!
The UBC Steel Bridge Team welcomes all of our new and returning members! We are excited to continue our participation in the AISC National Student Steel Bridge Competition. Our team will strive to improve upon last year’s results, and come out on top!
